this is why your classes are being posted late DX it's finally done!!!
Just as a small fyi for members, students do not have to live at the Academy all the time. Just during classes. After that, they may go back to their family or a house if their family threw them out/died, ect. However you want to do it.
The World of Ucadia
All blue marks on the map are rivers; those that are accompanied by streaks of green are cracks in Kira.
SpiraThe City of Koga
-Capitol city of Spira. A grim & dark city completely covered in shadows. Regardless of the position of the sun, light never touches the city of Koga. The buildings are made entirely of an unknown dark matter. It is believed that members of Haven are the ones who built the city. It appeared mysteriously over night, built by men cloaked in long black cloaks. They used the powers of a large nearby crack in Kira as magic to mold the material into a brick formation. After the brick was laid they melted its form so every building appears as one solid mass. The city is built like complex maze with alleyways & streets going in every direction. A lot of the cities are paved with a metal grate & on the sides of that Kira is flowing everywhere. The grates are to keep it off the streets so people can walk, but Kira provides a small ominous glowing stream on both sides of the walkways. The streets that donít have Kira flowing around the edges of them are pitch black. While each house has its own set of lights & there are street lamps posted the city is still extremely dark & all the lighting within it is dim. The citizens there donít seem to want to brighten the city in away. They appear accustomed to the dark. No one actually knew any of the people that originally inhabited the city. There was no record of any of there names from any of the other continents. Itís as if they, just like the city, appeared over night. However, since then people from other countries have moved to the city, now making it the largest, most powerful city on Spira.
-An enormously large city built entirely by magic & protected by spells. Anima city originally started out by a small group of people gathering daily in a field learning how to harness their inner magic. The teachers of class were originally priests from Volletto who were thrown out by the church in Celest for preaching against the guardians. The outcasts believed that you should only rely on the magic that naturally lies within every being, and that the guardians stole their magic from Kira. When people heard about those gathering in the fields to practice these teaching, they tried to put a stop to it. In protest the priest had their followers build up a wall so that people couldnít stop their teachings. Once they had a wall separating them the people continued to build & build to make a home for themselves. They had soon built a working city, but that wasnít enough for them. They wanted to show the world that they were successful & that their way was right. So they decided to build their city upwards, reaching above the wall. By the time they were done their city had 3 levels. When more people moved to the city, the levels were divided up by classes; the upper class people with the most money got to live in the housing on the highest level, that got plenty of sunlight, the middle class citizens with moderate amounts of money got to live on the second level of the city, and the lower class citizens who were poor lived on the bottom, where it is always dark, which created an unhealthy environment, leaving many people sick.
The Town of Caleb
-The town of Caleb has existed for quite sometime under the radar now. To the normal person it would look like an abandoned town, but after several parties tried to settle in it, they started to believe it was haunted. Weird things were always happening. Items moved on there own, whispers could be heard in the wind, and strange footsteps could be found in the sand when daybreak came. When a priest from Anima City came down to expel the evil spirits, he realized he couldnít do it alone & called in help from the church in Celest. While the priest from Anima couldnít see anything, the priest from Celest could see people hustling & bustling around the city. He could account for every footstep, whisper, & noise. The town wasnít abandoned but rather inhabited as what Ucadia has come to know as ghosts. Not the kind of dead people, but living ones who were of various species and ages, and even died at the regular lifespan of their species. They gave birth to children & could touch everything. Once every few days the ghosts could be seen by an ordinary person, & could be seen by mages at all times. The priest both returned to their cities & decided to acknowledge the town of Caleb as a working civilization & marked it on the map. Few people travel to go to the town of Caleb now. While the people there are no different, itís hard to be in a town when you canít see anyone. Most ghosts in Ucadia travel to be here just for the sake of being seen & acknowledged, even if it means leaving there family.
The Town of Bo
-The town of Bo was the home to the infamous warrior Shido Crest. The town holds a training program for soldiers and those who wish to learn how to fight. Over the years, Bo has produced the strongest warriors in Ucadia. They believe you wonít gain anything unless youíve worked hard for it, which is why the town is full of extremely hard core Haven followers. They donít approve of the guardians of Ucadia. They believe in Havens principals that theyíre evil and should be disposed of.
-A large mountain just beyond the Shido Plains. It has a large cave up towards the top of its peak. Within the cave lives a large Data, an unknown species. It only comes out at night and slinks down into the plains and attacks travelers at night. Very few people have survived its attack, but those who do say they only see yellow eyes staring at them through the dark before it hits. No one can tell what it looks like, how big it is, or any other definite facts. The local people call it the Diablo, and named the mountain, its lair, after it.
-A large range of hills that covers the north end of Spira. Theyíre covered heavily in lush green grass, forests, and brush.
-A large river that goes directly through the middle of Spira, that branches out through the town of Caleb.
The Shido Plains
-The Shido Plains were named after a legend of a warrior from before the Guardians of Access existed. He was considered one of the strongest & bravest men alive. His name was Shido Crest, from the town of Bo. When a huge Data crawled out of the sea & started terrorizing the local people of Bo, Shido caught word & turned around from his voyage to Lumarius. Upon his arrival, Shido took up his shield & sword & went to meet the large monster in the field just outside of Bo. There he fought the 3 days & 3 nights before defeating the monster. When Shido dealt the final blow, the monster slithered back towards the ocean, as it wrapped its tail around Shidoís leg & dragged him under. Shido or the monster never surfaced, so the townís people had a memorial for Shido in the plains that night and as thanks they named those it after him.
-The capitol city of Verdena. Itís a large farmland that stretches for miles. The people here rely on the Pyre Plains for all of their crops. While growing crops outside the city leaves it at greater risk to be stolen, the soil over there is much richer than within the city. The only things growing within the city are many trees and grass that cover most of the land, aside from roadways, around the houses, and ranches where the animals treading over it kills it. Because of their position on the edge of Verdena, theyíre usually the 1st city to set up over at the produce market outside the academy. They make a lot of money selling & trading goods so theyíre a wealthy town, but just by looking at their set up most people wouldnít know that.
The City of Requiem
-5 days after a huge war between Spira & Volletto broke out; Mt. Crugi erupted for the 1st time. It has been the 1st & only volcano known in Ucadia. Some people thought this was a sign that what was happening should be put to a stop. When neither country would admit fault, the people against the war banded together & marched around all of Ucadia singing songs of death & terrible happenings. After they had made their way across every country, no one would let them come back to their original towns they came from, so they all set out for the county of Verdena to a large lot of land that was un-owned. When everyone had arrived they started construction on a town for themselves. The surrounding countries called them the Requiems because of their previous march around Ucadia. That stuck & their town was named the Town of Requiem. After several years the town grew larger & larger. Peace makers from all over came to settle there. Because of the large number of people the town had added on structures and grew until it was recognized as a city. Some of the original founders of Requiem hold daily services, teaching the hymns they sung around Ucadia to others.
The Town of Sylva
The mining town of Sylva was built upon the principal of hard work. They built a large shaft in the base of the Verdayle Mountains to mine from. The mining shaft was just the beginning of Sylvaís work. Since then they have become the most industrial place in Ucadia. Itís a small working town but also very crafty. Most of the best selling inventions in Ucadia originate from this town.
The Verdayle Mountains
The largest mountain range in Ucadia; The Verdayle Mountains take up an entire end of the continent of Verdena. Itís covered in forest in some part of the mountains and totally barren in others. The climate in the mountains is usually dry & windy during the day, but cold and still during the night. It is also home to many different species of Data.
The Pyre Plains
-The Pyre plains are owned by the people of Malicoat. Itís nicely located by the Itchago river, which provides easy means of irrigation. The fields have very rich soil & grow various types of crop.
-Kyoto river spreads directly across the Verdena continent. It separates the town of Sylva from all other people on the continent. It also provides water for the people of Sylva, which is handy when preparing to head out to the mines.
-A river that is between the city of Malicoat & the Pyre plains. Itís used for watering the crops & bringing fresh water into the city.
LumariusThe City of Venace
-The capitol city of Lumarius. Venace is a large City made mostly of brick. It sits next to a large crack in Kira so it has high fortified walls to protect itself against Data. It is the closest civilization to the water source, the Germaine River. The city looks very dull compared to Crystaal which has always left the people of Venace jealous, creating a constant feud between the two cities.
The City of Crystaal
-The city of Crystaal seems completely ordinary until you reach its core where a large crystal gate has been hand crafted with immense amounts of ornate details. The gate surrounds several large crystals that reach straight up into the sky. They reach higher than most mountains do. When the sun hits them just right, they can be seen from anywhere in Ucadia & provides brilliant reflections of light all over the city. They also absorb the light, & create a nice glow at night, laminating the city in a soft light. The city was named after the crystals growing at its core.
The Town of Mika
-A small town that keeps to itself on a spot of land that branches out from the rest of Lumarius. The town sits very close to where Haven is thought to be located. Because of this the town is heavily under the influence of them, and the people there do not accept the guardians at all. This leads most of the people there to sacrifice their children to Haven, turning them in as soon as they suspect something.
-A small mountain range on the outskirts of Lumarius. Its base is surrounded by several small foothills. While it isnít a long mountain range, itís the tallest peak in all of Ucadia. Because of its height, its peak is usually seen just above the clouds, and is covered in snow. From down below it appears to just disappear within the shroud above. People travel from all over Ucadia to climb Miller Peak. These people are usually considered adventures or thrill seekers, but the church of Celest also sends mages to climb the mountain as part of a pilgrimage. They travel for miles by foot, then boat, and along the way they fight many Data to prove themselves as great fighters. Once at the top of the mountain, they search for a hidden temple thatís entrance is sealed by magic. By recanting the prayers they learned at the church in Celest they can break the seal. Mages who return from their pilgrimage successfully are granted greater powers by the church that are beyond any other type of magic.
The Castle Mountains
The Castle Mountains are a moderate size mountain formation on the far end of Lumarius. Their name comes from the fact that their peaks, from a distance, make up the head of a kings crown. They also provide a good barrier between Lumarius & Spira.
The Germaine River
-A large river that branches out in several different directions, nearly dividing Lumarius in half. It is the main water source for all of Lumarius.
VollettoThe City Celest Ė aka The Celestial City
-The capitol city of Volletto. The city was hand crafted with a smooth white pearl stone that has proven to be impenetrable. It has stood for more than 1000 years and not a single scratch has been put any of the stone. Over the years Celest has been through many wars that were so bad they wiped out all of the surrounding areas and itís very own civilization. The city has a white glow to it both day & night. Because of this people have named it the celestial city & believe it was made by angels. Upon entering the city, two large doors made of pearl, larger than the tallest building within the city, open up. This is known as heavens gate. The entire city within is crafted in a castle like fashion, the center being the tallest tower & can be seen from all over Volletto. The cityís church keeps record of Celest all the way back to its origins. In the oldest record, people wrote of a magic that was sung in a beautiful angelic voice by strangers to craft the city out of its impenetrable material for the local towns. After completing the city, the strangers disappeared. Their race & magic are believed to have been forgotten over time, because they kept in the dark, & didnít let most know they existed or teach their magic to anyone outside their own race. Celest is believed to be the only traces that they actually existed. No one really knows if theyíre still out there. To this day they are just believed to be nothing but legends.
The Town of Fayte
-The town of Fayte used to be a town of poverty were disease had broken out, killing both people and animals. Their citizens were healed by what is believed to be the same group of travelers that built Celest. The survivors of Fayte described their rescuers exactly as the detailed descriptions of specific people from the records in Celest. Because of this, people did not believe their story & assumed the disease had driven them to hallucinate & canít remember the people who healed them. After all Celest was built 1000 years ago & most people donít believe any of Ucadiaís unique beings can live that long. When Mt. Crugi 1st erupted most of Volletto was completely taken out. The town of Fayte, formerly known as The Town of Grimm, was the only untouched place. Its citizens were the only survivors on the island. Because of this they voted to change the name of their town to reflect their great victory & to stand for hope to all of Volletto in future endeavors. Those who moved to Celest later helped to rebuild Fayte to be a rich & glorious city.
The Town of Longo
-A rather poor backwater town located close the base of Mt. Crugi. Because of its location, Longo is an undesirable place to live, leaving it in the state itís in from lack of citizens. The people who canít afford to live in the great city of Celest or Fayte have all banded together & moved here. Longoís structure is in poor condition from not being rebuilt after Mt.Crugiís eruption, but still provides living conditions that provide good shelter, and a comfortable place to live. However the only good river on Volletto flows directly outside Longo, which makes it the only place with easy access to water. The river wasnít deemed significant enough to be named, but the residents of Longo like to think of it as ďLongoís River.Ē The other cities/towns pull their water from the ocean & put it through a purifying process at a mill in Celest & itís distributed to those who can pay.
The Plains of Celest Ė aka The Celestial Plains
-The Plains of Celest are recorded to have been enchanted by the same people who built the city of Celest, thus they were named after it. The plains have been blessed with the richest soils in all of Ucadia. The crops grown there are always at least 2 times bigger & more flavorful than any other crop in all the world. At night when the wind blows through the field, it is said you can hear a faint whisper of the beautiful lullaby that the strangers long ago sang to enchant the soil. The Celestial plains are believed to have been blessed to forever give an immortal city an immortal source of provisions.
-The only active volcano known in Ucadia. Its name comes from the species of Data known as Crugi. Theyíre extremely large, monstrous looking dogs with tails & manes of fire. Because of both their enormous sizes & flow of fire, people named the volcano after the Crugies.
-A small tropical island just off the shores of Vollettoís mainland. A great get away, and a home to Ucadiaís most exotic plants & food.
-A city completely submerged underwater where all of the water beings reside. It was built by mermaids, but now it houses mermaids, sirens, or any other type of water species. The city is made up entirely of seashell & pearl & is even built to accommodate beings who breathe air with a small set of houses that are entirely dry. They sit on the edge of the city & are used by visitors or for the water beings that choose to use their legs once & a while. Siren city is not under the rule of any of the continents or Haven.
The Academy Ė Access
-A river named as a representation of Hope, because it is the only river on the Island that the Academy sits on that isnít tainted my Kira leaking into it. Thus it is safe to use as a water source for the school, because it will not attract Data.
The Produce Market
-A large market set up by people who come from all over Ucadia to sell there goods & produce to the school. Access is a large Academy protected by a shield to keep all who arenít permitted from entering. Because of this, the school has to go out for provisions. Knowing the school buys large quantities of goods, people flock to the island to try & make a huge profit.
The Accessory Shop
-A place to buy any type of accessories. This includes anything from gloves, clothing shoes, hats, etc.
The Magic Shop
-The place for all your magical needs. By a few spell books, magic potion, ingredients, pixie dust, etc.
The Weapons Shop
-All the weapons you could ever want, all in one place!
The Armor Shop
-All types of armor; shields, armor suites, etc.
-Marked on the map as a ď?Ē because the whereabouts of Havens core is unknown at this time. It is believed to be that spot because enormous amounts of Kira leak there. From a distance Haven looks like a large shroud of a bluish green mist that reflects against the ocean, even. It has been reordered that a few parties have gone searching to explore that area, but none of them ever returned. This has never seemed suspicious to most citizens of Ucadia, because large cracks in Kira attract a lot of large monsters known as Data. The largest known Data rumored to occupy the area of Haven is a large black dragon, occasionally seen circling above the mist. Others believe Haven is directly responsible for the missing parties. More will be added about Haven as the story progresses.
